Frequently asked questions
How long do I have to wait for products?
All bespoke products can take 4-8 weeks from the moment you place an order, depending on the size and complexity and current orders. To avoid disappointment please place your order as soon as possible and we will accommodate your needs.
Sometimes we hold stock of wall, floor panels and lamps but please check availability.
What is the cost?
Prices for all lamps, panels and furniture are available on our website.
All bespoke projects are priced individually, but, as an example, you should expect approx. £400 per meter for worktops of 600mm wide x 40mm thick. All variations such as sink cut outs, drainers and adding metal or glass in the surface are additional.
Naturally friendly to the environment, GFRC (glass fibre reinforced concrete) made with white cement has a much lower environmental impact than conventional concrete, stone or other materials. Made with minerals: cement, aggregates, glass fibres and, in some cases, mineral pigments and special polymers, GFRC is designed to be long-lasting and earth-friendly.
Installation, delivery and access
We offer delivery and installation services at an additional fee. Cost is dependent on the individual project, location, access, parking etc.
Is it durable?
Concrete is very durable and ideal for high-traffic areas and is castor resistant. It is important that the wall and floor panels are unpacked correctly and handled with care prior to installation, as the edges of the panels can be chipped. Once installed correctly it is virtually impossible to damage the durable surface; if a damaged panel is installed it is easily repaired with concrete powder repair kits.
How heavy is it?
Concrete is lighter than its quarried alternatives.
How versatile is it?
Concrete is a very versatile material and can be coloured, shaped to almost any form and have any surface texture. Please contact us if you need to discuss any specific requirements and I am sure we can push the boundaries!
Is it stain proof?
Concrete is stain resistant. The oiled or sealed surface will withstand red wine, coffee, fat and other likely spillages. Nonetheless, it is advised that all spills should be cleaned with a damp cloth as quickly as possible.
Is it cold underfoot?
Surprisingly, the surface of concrete is very tactile and not cold to touch. It absorbs ambient temperature and stores it as a thermal mass. This means that it can heat up quickly and it maintains room temperature.
Can I use it over under floor heating?
Concrete is ideal for under floor heating as it is able to radiate and store heat. So, once the required room temperature is reached and the thermostat turns off, the floor will maintain the heat, meaning the heat source is working more efficiently.
Can I use it outside?
Yes, some of our products are made for outside and can be used on the walls as a cladding, and for patios, benches and furniture. We also make planters.
Is it slip resistant?
Yes and fire, frost and mould resistant.
Does it require sound insulation?
Concrete has very good sound impact absorption when installed with concrete adhesive, which contains cushioning rubber granules. This means that sound isn’t reflected in to a room, which could causing excessive echo.
Do you fit the panels?
Yes we do offer a fitting service at approx. £50 per m2 to a prepared, clean surface with a good access. All adhesives, sealants, parking and access hire are additional costs.
