Project Overview:
Trehearne Architects commissioned an innovative project at 125 Old Broad Street, focusing on the design and installation of bespoke precast concrete that enhance both the interior and exterior environments of the building. This project embodies a commitment to sustainable design, utilising high-performance, EPD certified BTX GRC concrete.
Design and Concept:
The project includes a custom reception desk, concierge desk, concrete furniture, and both internal and external planters and seating. Each element was thoughtfully designed to create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere that complements the modern architectural style of the space. The reception and concierge desks serve as functional hubs, while the furniture and planters add aesthetic value and usability to both indoor and outdoor areas.
Materials and Sustainability:
A standout feature of this project is the use of EPD certified BTX GRC concrete in a striking grey and terracotta colour palette. This material choice not only enhances the visual appeal but also aligns with sustainable practices. The GRC concrete making it ideal for various applications, while the EPD certification ensures compliance with sustainable environmental standards.
