Project: Large scale Aquacrete lining installation to an underground swimming pool in a private house.

Materials used: 120m2 of Aquacrete cement and quartz lining in Misty White colour was hand applied and then polished over existing mosaic tiles.

Timescales: 2.5 weeks on-site installation

Challenges: Very tight timescales combined with a difficult on-site access located three floor below street level.

Description

AquaCrete is a cement and quartz based lining with colour, developed specifically for use in swimming pools, fountains, bodies of water and basins. It is 2 to 3 mm thick and the finish is similar to MicroConcrete.

Like MicroConcrete, Aquacrete can be applied over existing cement surfaces, tiles and mini tiles and it forms a continuous lining that doesn’t require the use of gaskets and fits any shape. It is easy to clean and has high resistance to chemicals (chlorine, algaecide, etc.). Find out more.
