Galliford Try, one of the UK’s leading construction groups have carried-out the redevelopment of a former office block at Whitechapel Road, to provide a 4 Star Hyatt Hotel for Resolution Property. This exciting project brought with it plenty of design and manufacturing challenges! We manufactured and installed large bespoke GRC BTX Wave (fluted) wall panels each measuring 2600×900 mm in the reception and entrance areas. The walls (over 300m2) were finished with hand applied Fairfaced finish in Mist colour.
The impressive reception desk with Terrazzo panels was covered with concrete screed in Silk Mist finish onsite. The concrete was hand applied to give it a polished look and treated to make it stain proof. The steel framed staircase was assembled from pre-cast concrete steps in Mist finish and treated with anti-slip coating.
This was a comprehensive project which the team undertook admirably and delivered a consistent service throughout. There were a lot of aspects where this project had the potential to be challenging but the team pulled through and the client was very happy.
