This exciting project brought with it plenty of design and manufacturing challenges! Flipside was a major design exhibition located in the empty building that was once the Selfridges Hotel.
As a project, this was very technically challenging because the client requested a circular entrance door that opened on its own vertical axis. The panels that are used for the project had to be perfect in terms of measurements in order for the two-way door system to be effective. To achieve this, we made bespoke large format single cast GRC cladding concrete panels and lightweight MicroConcrete panels for the internal wall.
The exhibition housed futuristic installations by major designers an was visited by hundreds of people.
