Description
The design comprised of a three-storey-high, bespoke GRC concrete staircase with floating precast steps and landings, all in Rustic Grey finish.
Large format wall panels in Mist finish were wrapped around the main spinal feature wall that supported the stairs as well as the other internal walls. The panels were manufactured using our special GRC BTX concrete, which is lighter and stronger than traditional concrete We used our unique eco concrete mix technology with a hydrophobic agent to limit moisture absorption. The glass fibre reinforced concrete panels were made to the client’s specific design and carefully installed by our team on site.
For the floors we used Microconcrete coating in Lead Grey colour to create a contrasting effect with the lighter coloured walls and the imposing ceiling suspended fireplace surround was hand coated with Microconcrete in Metallic Bronze finish.
Lastly, the front door was coated with Oxicrete – acid-stained concrete – in Amber finish.
