Project Overview:
David Kohn Architects undertook a significant renovation of the Quadrangle Building at Oxford University, including on the installation of high-quality micro cement finishes throughout the space. This project aims to enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the building while preserving its historic character.
Design and Concept:
The renovation encompasses the installation of micro cement flooring and stairs at the main entrance, along with corridors and the reception area. The chosen pollen colour provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, seamlessly integrating with the architectural heritage of the Quadrangle. This thoughtful design enhances accessibility while promoting a contemporary yet timeless feel.
Materials:
The project features LC Micro cement, known for its durability and versatility. This material not only contributes to a sleek, modern look but also aligns with micro cement application allows for a seamless finish that minimizes joints, reducing maintenance needs and improving longevity.
