Project: Manufacture and installation of bespoke white concrete kitchen worktops and concrete cladded central island. The large format concrete panels were wrapped around the central island with 3D concrete tiles completing the design. All worktops and tiles were fitted using mechanical and chemical fixings.

Materials used: Large format GRC panels in Silk White finish and sealed with hydrophobic agent and clear sealant.
Timescales: 8 weeks from design approval to on-site installation.
Challenges: Large format panels were cast and pre-cut with great precision to allow only final millimetre adjustments and eliminate any cutting on site.
Concrete worktops are extremely strong and durable and designed to withstand busy family use. These were cast to the client’s individual and unique specifications using our BTX Ultra High Performance Concrete mix with a hydrophobic agent to limit moisture absorption. The worktops were cut to fit various kitchen appliances and then treated and sealed to make them stain proof.
